Spring's Spirit

Spring's Spirit, (British Warmblood), 2009, is a super new breeding prospect. He has excellent blood lines on his dam's side: His dam is a Ster graded mare by Calvados and his grand dam is Ster Preferent graded. His sire is Springfield Symphony - a former champion eventer at the Futurity Evaluations. Spring's Spirit has a superb temperament and fabulous movement and conformation (scoring a 9 out of 10 for conformation at his futurity grading).

In limited outings he has achieved a double first premium at the Futurity for show jumping and eventing, won at County Show Level: (SHB(GB) Shropshire County Show) and was awarded best BWBS yearling colt at the Warmblood Breeders UK annual show 2010. This lovely young man is a superb prospect for the future and will be produced for eventing. His stud fee reflects his first year at standing so is one to be taken advantage of. Springfield Symphony

Springfield Symphony 16.3h 3/4 TB - 1/4 ID 2004. Spring is the 2007 National Eventing Champion of the British Equestrian Federation's young horse evaluations and he still remains the highest scoring stallion in the eventing section in British Breeding history. He was also best three year old colt at 2007 PAVO British Eventing Young Horse Championships. His parents are from classic thoroughbred and Irish Draft blood lines which have produced successful offspring in all spheres. With Sousa (TB) and Pullandese (TB) on his sire's side whose progeny are advanced eventers, show jumpers and national hunt horses. Spring's Dam is Springfield Jasmin (ID x TB) her sire is Pennwood Forge Line (ID), whose great grand sire, King of Diamonds line (ID) is famous for being most influential as a sire of successful jumpers.

Hope all is good with you.

Just thought I’d drop you a line to say hi as spent some time with my foal (now 1) last weekend, and he is turning out fantastically.

He’s very positive in his attitude, whenever they need to take the foals anywhere they lead with him as he is bold and confident and happy to go in the lead (I think you used the word “mosey” when you saw him as a foal).

He has lovely movement too – he’s at a stud with a load of dressage foals and the dressage supremos were all there the other week looking at them and were more interested in him than any of the others! The cross has worked in that he has no sign of his mother’s slight dishing and shortness in front, and he really flicks his toes, which have white socks which helps….

He’s done a real growth spurt this spring, and spring’s thoroughbred side has started to come through as he’s looking more and more like a big boned, scopey old thoroughbred type, with a good bit of bounce from his mother’s warmblood ½.

Feel gutted at having him gelded this week as I can’t accommodate an entire, but guess you know all about that.
